Ingredients

  • 2 cup rava (semolina) 1 cup = 150 ml
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 2 teaspoon gram flour
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • salt to taste
  • water for mixing
  • oil for roasting

Instructions

  • Take a bowl and mix all the dry ingredients.
  • In another bowl, take about 4 tablespoon of flour and mix water to it. Make batter of thin consistency. Keep it aside for ten minutes.
  • Heat a skillet. Smear some oil, take a ladleful of batter and put it over the skilet. Hold the handle of the skillet in the left hand and tilt it around. Drizzle oil around it.
  • Let cook on moderate flame.
  • Once it is done, remove it and serve. Chutney and potato stir fry are optional, it tastes good by itself.

Notes

  • The unused flour can be stored in the refrigerator for further use.
  • You can add green chilli pieces, ginger and coriander to the batter. Put onion pieces after you spread the batter.
