Method
- Wash the rice and keep it aside.
- Peel and cut the potato into cubes and onion finely.
- Heat oil in a pan, add bay leaf, after a few seconds, put the onion, ginger, turmeric powder and pepper powder. Saute for sometime.
- Put the potatoes into it, let cook for sometime.
- Now, add the rice to it and saute for sometime. Put water and salt, give a stir. Allow to cook on a low flame. Alternatively, you can close the lid and pressure cook for one whistle.
