Method
- Cut the agar agar strands into small pieces and soak them in a little water. After sometime, boil it for on a low flame, the granules need to break and mix easily.
- In a pan, add milk, cream and sugar. Heat it gently on a low flame. Once the sugar melts and it is warm, put it aside.
- Meanwhile, extract the mango pulp and whisk it to a puree.
- Now, add the dissolvedĀ agar agar to the milk and cream mixture and give a stir.
- After sometime, put the mango pulp to it and mix it well.
- Pour it into moulds, ramekins or glass bowls and allow it to set for atleast 4 hours.
- Serve chilled.
Notes
Agar agar is a substitute for gelatine.
Do not reduce the quantity of it as it may not set properly.
