Method
- Keep all the ingredients ready.
- Remove the skin of the groundnuts, coarsely grind it along with split dahlia and desiccated coconut.
- Add all dry ingredients to the flour.
- Heat oil in a pan, once it is heated add one tablespoon oil to this.
- Mix well. Add little water and mix it to a stiff dough.
- Take a small ball of the dough. Grease a thick plastic sheet with a little oil. Make it into a circular disc.
- Repeat for a few more, you can fry six at a time (of course depending on the size of the pan)
- Slowly, let the discs into the oil. Deep fry on medium heat, after sometime, increase it for sometime and then reduce. It should be golden in colour.
- Remove them on an absorbent paper.
- After sometime, store them in a container.
Notes
The crackers should be neither too thick or too thin. If they are thick, they tend to be soft while very thin ones become hard to eat.
