Method
- Cut the onions into chunks.
- Take oil in a pan and saute the green chilly and methi seeds. Keep them aside.
- Now, saute the onions until it is translucent in colour.
- Let cook. Grind them together along with chilly powder and salt.
- Take a pan, add oil and put the mustard seeds. As it crackles, put asafoetida, urad dal and curry leaves. Saute for a few seconds and pour it over the prepared chutney. Red onion chutney is ready to serve.
Notes
- Adjust chilly and chilly powder according to your taste.
- It tastes good, if it is spicy.
