- Beetroot grated 2cups
- milk 1cup
- sugar 1 1/2cup
- ghee 2tbsp
- cashew nuts 8
- salt a pinch
- cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
- Take a thick bottom pan, add ghee and roast the cashews.Keep them aside.
- Add the grated beet and roast it in the remaining ghee for three minutes.
- Add milk and let cook on a low flame. Let it condense.
- Add sugar and stir. Allow to cook on a low flame until it reaches medium consistency.
- Finally, add the salt and mix well.
- Add the cardamom powder and remove from heat.
- Garnish with roasted cashew pieces.
Beetroot halwa / beet pudding
Ingredients
- 2 cups beetroot grated
- 1 cup milk
- 1.5 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoon ghee
- 8 cashew
- salt a pinch
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
Instructions
- Take a thick bottom pan, add ghee and roast the cashews.Keep them aside.
