Kulfi is an Indian dessert which is made using  full fat milk. It is delicious and a  sheer happiness to indulge in any season. Many versions of Kulfi are prepared. Here is a Two-in-One Kulfi,  Choco Vanilla Kulfi, which is an amalgamation of vanilla and chocolate flavour with a tinge of syrup seeping through it.

Keeping some ready dessert in the  refrigerator is an easy task for anyone. The kids will have something that they like to eat. It prevents from last minute struggles.

Ingredients for Choco Vanilla Kulfi:

  • 1 litre full fat milk
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon chopped nuts
  • 1 teaspoon grated chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup

Method to make Choco Vanilla Kulfi:

  • Take a thick bottom pan and boil the milk.
  • Add sugar and give a stir.
  • Continue to boil for ten more minutes.
  • Divide the milk in two pans.
  • To one pan, add cocoa powder, and boil for five minutes. Keep it aside.
  • To the other, add vanilla essence and nuts. Boil for five minutes. Allow to cool.

To assemble:

  • Take a mould, fill half the volume with chocolate kulfi, sprinkle some grated chocolate, set for one hour in the freezer.
  • Add vanilla kulfi over it, pour syrup and set it.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 litre full fat milk
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tbsp chopped nuts
  • 2 tsp grated chocolate
  • 1 tbsp chocolate syrup

Method
 

  1. Take milk in a thick bottom pan and boil for some time.
  2. Add sugar, give a stir and continue to boil for another ten minutes. The quantity should be reduced to three-fourth.
  3. Divide the milk equally in two pans.
  4. In one pan, add cocoa powder and mix well. Boil for five minutes. Remove and keep it aside to cool.
  5. In the other pan, add vanilla essence and nuts. Boil for five minutes and allow to cool.
To asemble the kulfi
  1. Take a kulfi mould and pour chocolate kulfi to half its volume. Sprinkle some chocolate powder and allow to set for one hour.
  2. Pour vanilla kulfi over it, sprinkle some grated chocolate and drizzle some syrup over it.
  3. Set in the freezer for three hours

Notes

Adding of syrup is optional, but it tasted great. The syrup was concentrated i n the middle of it.
